First Visit
PLEASE FOLLOW THESE STEPS WHEN ORGANISING YOUR CONSULTATION:
īģŋ
1. Complete Your Online Patient Form
Before your first visit (or if you’re seeing us for a new condition), please complete our Online Patient Form.
đ Takes approximately 20 minutes — and you can save and return to it later if needed.
đĄ Please include as much detail as possible, especially if you have a complex or ongoing medical history. The more information we receive, the better we can prepare for your care.
2. Case Triage & Clinician Matching
Once your form is submitted, our medical team will review your information to determine which
clinician best suits your needs. Our administration team will then reach out to book your appointment. For more information about the physicians available to treat you at our clinic, please visit
Our Medical Team.
đ Please allow up to 8–10 business hours for this process, as we carefully triage each case to ensure you receive the most appropriate care.
3. GP or Specialist Referral
If you haven’t already, please obtain a referral from your GP or specialist before your appointment. This helps us build a complete picture of your medical history and ensures you receive the higher Medicare rebate available for specialist consultations.
âšī¸ Referrals from allied health providers (such as physiotherapists, chiropractors, or podiatrists) are welcome for context but do not qualify for Medicare rebates under physician item numbers.
4. Booking Confirmation
Once your appointment has been arranged, you’ll receive a confirmation SMS and email containing your booking details, location, and what to expect at your consultation.
5. Attendance & Cancellations
âšī¸ A reminder SMS will be sent one week prior to your appointment to confirm your attendance. If you’re unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible — we ask for a minimum of two (2) business days’ notice.
For full details, please see our Fees & Policies page regarding cancellations and no-shows.
6. On the Day of Your Appointment
Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to find parking and complete check-in. For more information about our clinic locations, please see our Getting Here page.
đ Leichhardt patients: Pay for extra parking time, as Inner West Council inspectors regularly monitor meters along Norton Street and consultations may occasionally run longer.
7. During Your Consultation
Clinical Research: Dr Samra conducts ongoing clinical research to improve patient outcomes. You may be invited to complete short questionnaires to track your progress.
Registrar Training: As part of mentoring future Sports Physicians, Dr Samra occasionally hosts ACSEP registrars who may observe consultations. You’ll always be informed beforehand, and you are welcome to decline if you prefer a private consultation.
